First off, love the plugin. It works just as described and it’s incredibly useful, especially for somebody using WordPress as a secret backend for multiple blogs/feeds. Great work!

I’m having one issue, related to audio crossposts. Audio links in my WordPress posts go to Tumblr without a problem, but the Tumblr audio player doesn’t include the audio file/track title, author/artist, album name, or album art. I’ve been manually entering them for every track. Is there any way to get Tumblr to pick these up from the mp3 metadata or from the WordPress media library?

    Thanks so much!

Hm, if the mp3 data is in the file, and if your Tumblr theme has the correct template tags to display that data, that data should show up. Tumblr Crosspostr doesn’t mess with any of the file metadata, though another plugin might?

It might be my theme, then. I’ll investigate there. Thanks for the quick reply, and thanks again for making the plugin!

Sure. You may also want to double check that your audio has the correct ID3 tags and that it still has them after you upload the mp3 to your WP site. There is no API mechanism I know of to tell Tumblr what the audio metadata is; that data has to be in the file itself for Tumblr to pick it up.

    Will do. Thanks!
