Is the Tidiochat API working?

Does the TidoChat API function? Tested in all browsers.

I enter the following in the Tidio JavaScript editor and nothing happens (I can see the code being added to our tidio .js):

tidioChatApi.on('popUpShow', function(dimension){
alert('PopUp is showed!');
});

Please advise… I need an event to fire when the user clicks on the chat app for the first time, and another when the app is closed.
