Audio shortcode suddenly stopped working

Hi, I’ve been using the audio shortcode successfully to stream mp3s from S3. One day recently I was told that no audios were appearing so I checked and sure enough there was nothing where the audios used to be.
At first I thought it was because of a recent theme update that had occurred that might have been incompatible with your code but I’ve changed the theme and they still don’t work. I tested video and that works but the audio shortcodes aren’t working.
Any suggestions where I can start to look for a solution to this? I liked your shortcode audio solution and would prefer to get them to work again.
