Universal Analytics for Custom Post Types

    I have a blog, in addition to other publications, on my website, and I want the ability to collect data for all blog posts. Blog posts are created as a custom post type, along with a number of other publication post types. These post types are not differentiated in the URL, but are in the CMS.

    How can I leverage Yoast to gather stats for blog posts?

    Blog has a separate template in the WP theme. Can I use custom PHP code in the Advanced tab in the plugin settings to track analytics for just the blog posts?
