Hi DreamPress,
Your problem sounds like an issue that existed in an older version of Woocommerce Multilingual and WPML.
Updates were done in November, that corrected all those problems for me.
Can you check that you are on the latest version of WPML and Woocommerce Multilingual?
Yep,
WooCommerce Multilingual: 3.4.2. running
with:
WPML Media : 2.1.7
WPML Multilingual CMS: 3.1.8.3
WPML Translation Management: 1.9.8
WPML String Translation: 2.0.13
Hi DreamPress,
Well this is strange… In many cases, this issue is related to compatibility problem. Could you try to deactivate all your plugins except WooCommerce itself and WPML plugins and check if you’re still able to replicate the cart problem?
Thanks,
Bernat
DreamPress, do you have a link to the site in question?
I’d like to try and see what happens with different browsers, just to rule out any settings that may kill cookies/sessions for you.
Is this problems already fix? because i have the same issue.
Thanks
No fix. Disabling all plugins was no fix, cookies and sessions wasn’t it.
It works fine on a development site on the same VPS.
I have a lot of trouble with multilanguage and thinking of switching to a multisite installation with a plugin to keep stock synced. No idea how to put sales/orders form the different webshops in one place but if that’s also an option, i’ll switch for sure.
Last resort is to rebuild the entire webshop and see what it does. Will try that too.
Your cart issue can be related to an already known bug that will be fixed in next update. By now, could you test if it gets fixed with this WooCommerce Multilingual development version?: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-e4FFHtzndlbWJBbm5iVGxocjQ/view?usp=sharing
Remember that this is a development version and it is not fully tested yet, so I recommend you to backup your site before updating and check if everything works as expected afterwards.
Hope it helps 🙂
Bernat
Hi there Bernat,
Still no luck. The issue still remains.
I am wondering if this is ever going to be solved.
Do you think i have a chance if i reinstall all new WordPress and database?
It worked when i transfered the webshop to a new domain (without SSL) for testing purposes. When i cloned it the shop miraculously worked.
Or would it be a useless effort when on the same domain?
Hi DreamPress,
I think your case requires a bit more of test & debug. Could you create a new ticket in our wpml.org support forum? This way we’ll be able to ask you for credentials and check everything in your site. I’m sure we’ll be able to help you in a better way.
Thanks,
Bernat
Do you still have problems with this when using the latest version 3.5.1?
Yes,
It’s a session problem that won’t go away… i was hoping the update would fix this.
Some say it’s a problem of my installation, but have no clue why the exact clone works fine on the same server.
Got any clues?
Wanna send us a copy of your site? You can do this on our support forum (WPML).
What do you need from me? Theme files, wp-content folder, public-html folder? Database?
It is a shop, so i’m a little concerned about the descretion with order and client data…
Please let me know what you need.
Fixed!
It was redirecting from a non-https to the https shopping cart page.
