• Wordfence never gets past this point:

    [Nov 10 14:18:30] Contacting Wordfence to initiate scan
    [Nov 10 14:18:31] Including files that are outside the WordPress installation in the scan.
    [Nov 10 14:18:31] Getting plugin list from WordPress

    I have tried everything you have suggested on the support pages including reinstalling the plugin.

    I have experimented with memory size and timeout settings but no difference.

    The only way to stop it is to kill it. And restarting doesn’t make a difference.

    What can I do?

    It looks like your server might not be able to contact the Wordfence scanning servers. Please try the connectivity tester which is a link at the bottom of the Wordfence options page.
