@steverit – Images of varying orientation will re-size differently based on the (maximum) dimensions you have set for your thumbnail sizes. If you want to get a closer uniform look you may want to look at using the “Thumbnail crop” option when resizing the thumbnails.
You may need to regenerate your existing thumbnails and/or re-size them via the IGW when inserting your galleries.
If you re-size the existing gallery thumbnails you may also need to clear your image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous to see the effects immediately.
Thanks!

Hi Cais, thanks for your reply. What is the “IGW”? Sorry to sound dumb 🙂
@steverit – The IGW, aka Insert Gallery Window, is the “green button” in the visual tab of the TinyMCE editor.

Thanks, all sorted. Turned out to be the “over ride thumbnail settings” which I had ticked. I un-ticked this and got what I wanted.
@steverit – Glad to read you sorted it out. Well done!
