Apologies if answered before, I haven’t found this in the forum.

We have an issue where FB comments are only appearing if the site visitor is logged into Facebook. If the site visitor is not logged in, comments are not visible.

Example:
http://www.chiefsdigest.com/chiefs-rb-joe-mcknight-ruptures-achilles/

We recently underwent a site domain name change, and I believe we have made all the necessary updates. While we can still see all the comments inside the Facebook moderation tool, no comments made before the name change appear on the site.

I can see comments when both logged in and out. Ensure that the permalinks match up with what you want to do as FB comments connect via absolute URL only.

It does appear working, although we have lost all comments posted under the old domain name. Is that to be expected.

Maybe it was a DNS issue. FB comments started appearing logged in and out about a week after we made made the move.

No, if you change the URL in any way you will lose comments as they would have been connected to the old URLset. If you need more bespoke assistance please do contact me.
