I just installed and tried to test the free version. The visitor shows up in the “Live Chat” page, but there is no notification sound. Should there not be a ding or other notification? Or am I expected to have this page open all day. (Unacceptable.)

ALSO: When I accept the chat, an error box pops up on the Live Chat page:
“A plug-in is needed to display this content…Install plugin.” Clicking on the “Install plugin” gives me no plugins.

    Thank you
    Barry

    Hi Barry

Is this happening in a specific browser? IE and Firefox will often ask you to install a browser plugin to allow the browser to play the notification sounds when a chat is received.

Unfortunately at the moment the only way to be notified of a chat is to be on the ‘Live Chat’ page, or to receive email notifications (Available in the Pro version) of when a chat has been initiated. We are looking into other methods to be notified for the near future.

    Kind Regards,
    Jarryd

You do get a load “tring” sound on Chrome, but that is if you are on the active “TAB”. As soon as you on another tab no sound comes through.
