Email Notification Not Working

The system is great, but Notifications are not working properly, i tried to intall a smtp plugin to test my smtp and its working, send e-mail test to me correctly..
But when i creat a new ticket ou just a reply nothing is send to my email. Theres any configuration to do? I’m using free version and want to buy PRO, but i’m afraid, cause the site says the notification system works on free… and it’s not working to me.
Please help me to solve this cause i really want to upgrade;
