In the button editor, do you have it set to open in a new window? I tried window=”new” and it worked fine. Just trying to narrow down the problem.
Hi,
I cannot find where in Max Button editor to have the link open in a new window, under the Access Consciousness tab -> Store & Clearing Statement. I’m using the Nirvana theme.
There are a few categories that describe possible edits, i.e. Basics, Text, Border, etc, but I don’t see the option of having the buttons I create open in a new tab … I would prefer to keep folks on my site 😉
Thank you.
Yikes! Sorry about the above. I attempted to edit it but failed :/
It was supposed to include this:
In the button editor under basics you’ll find a checkbox called ‘Open in new Window’ . If you check that and then save the button it will open the link in a new tab. It’s just under the URL field.
Thank you for your response.
Here is what I see under Basics:
Name
Something that you can quickly identify the button with.
Description
Brief explanation about how and where the button is used.
Link to Contact Page
URL
The link when the button is clicked.
Text
The actual words that appear on the button.
Use target=”_blank”
Use rel=”nofollow”
I am guessing that the check box you’re referring to is one of the last to line items, however it isn’t clear to me.
Thanks again!
You will need to the field ‘use target=_blank’. I realize it’s the technical term for it, so it’s not that clear. In future update we will add a more understandable description.
Awesome, thank you. That was my hunch, but still a little nervous in the admin section. Thanks again.
Glad that worked for you!
