Hello,
Thank you for using my plugin, I’m sorry you are having issues with it.
You should still be able to login to WordPress with the plugin installed and activated. There is no login button however, but you should be able to navigate to wp-login.php.
For example – http://www.example.com/wp-login.php (This will load the WordPress login page as normal)
If you are still having issues please reply and I’ll take a look. I will start working on an optional login button to appear on the Under Construction page now so you will have that option available soon enough.
The url that I was using to attempt to login was /wp-login.php and the plugin was preventing me from loading the login page.
Thank you for adding in an optional login to the under construction page. That will be useful. Until then, we’ll leave the plugin disabled.
Sorry to be a pain but is there any chance you would be able to activate the plugin again and let me know your website address?
It would really help me to get to the bottom of this issue to try and fix it for you.
I’ll let you know when I have the code for the optional login button ready, should be tomorrow at the latest.
Thank you for your patience.
It’s activated for now. http://willow-creek-1.org/
Thanks
Ok, thank you for that. You may now deactivate it again if you wish.
Could I be a pain and ask you what other plugins you have installed? Just so I can rule out any conflicts there.
Thanks.
Activated Plugins are:
Buddy Press
Capability Manager Enhanced
DP Pro Event Calendar
GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools
Press Permit Core
User Meta Advanced
User Meta Pro
Visual Form Builder Pro
WordPress Access Control
Right, I know what is causing your issue now. There is a clash between User Meta Pro and the function of my Plugin.
One aspect of User Meta Pro gives you the choice to essentially remove ‘wp-login.php’ and instead redirect to a front-end login page. As much as this is a good idea and provides an extra line of security it means that wp-login.php will no longer take you to the default WordPress login page.
A login button will not be able to fix this conflict across plugins so I will need to find another way to get round this plugin, or try and make my plugin compatible with User Meta Pro. I’ll keep you posted on when I get this issue resolved.
Thank you for pointing this issue out to me. I’ll make sure I have this fix for the next update. If you have any other issues with this plugin please feel free to email me at mike@morrowmedia.co.uk.
