That’s the correct url, it’s a form post and WordPress does it’s magic to direct the data to the plugin.
A “The connection was reset” is something crashing, either the browser or the server. It might be a PHP issues, what version are you running?
I constantly update to the lastest version. Thanks! How do I figure out what is crashing?
Check your web server and php error logs, that’s the most likely place to see what is going wrong.
I think it was a problem with another plugin, which I’ve now deleted. Thanks!
Which plugin was it, just in case anyone else runs in to the same issue?
I have the same problem as the thread starter, after clicking on the update button when I changed some settings, nothing happens and the site is not reachable for about 5min. after re-logging into wordpress admin the changes I made are not saved in wp statistics.
Would be interesting if there is a problem with other plugins…
I am using WP statistics since one year and I didn’t exactly notice when this problem started…I am not often in the options section of this plugin because there is no need to change things there regularly…
cheers Matthias
Unfortunately the original poster never replied with which plugin caused the issue.
I’d suggest you check your PHP error logs to see if there is anything in them that will point you towards an offending plugin.
Other than that, disabled all other plugins and see if you can save the settings. If so, start enabling plugins until saving settings breaks.
