I really love this plug-in, but I have a small problem with the new version.. I updated the plugin to version 6.0.13 today, but now I get the following errors on the page where the Google Maps are implemented.

Warning: DOMDocument::save(xxxx/xxxxxx.com/public_html/wp-content/media/wp-google-maps/1markers.xml) [domdocument.save]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in xxxx/xxxxxx/com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-google-maps/wpGoogleMaps.php on line 1719 Could not save XML file

    and

Could not save marker XML file (xxxx/xxxxxx.com/public_html/wp-content/media/wp-google-maps/1markers.xml) for Map ID 1

In the admin page Media Settings I have set the upload folder to “wp-content/media” instead of the default “wp-content/uploads”

The “wp-google-maps” folder exists in the “wp-content/uploads” folder, but not in de “wp-content/media” folder. Could it be that the plugin is not using the upload folder location setting everywhere in the plug-in code?

    Kind regards

    Hi
    Sorry we missed this ticket.
We’re addressing this in version 6.0.15 which will be available today

    Kind regards
    Nick

    Hi.
I have implemented the WP google maps plugin to a development site and all was working perfectly.

I have now uploaded it via FTP to a new server and I am now receiving this message:
“Could not save marker XML file (/content/sites/d/o/xxxxxxxx.co.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/wp-google-maps/1markers.xml) for Map ID 1”

The map itself is still appearing but this text stays above it. I am currently running Version 6.0.23.

    Kind Regards,

    Chris

    Hi Chris
When you move the domain/hosting, please ensure that your “Marker XML Dir” and “Marker XML URL” in the Maps->Settings page (left navigation) is correct?
