Imported posts have wrong thumbnail

I generate an archives page using the following shortcode:
[display-posts image_size=”thumbnail” wrapper=”div” posts_per_page=”-1″]
The first few featured images are resized correctly (rectangular), whereas the other featured images are cropped (square). How do I get them all to be resized?
The featured images that are behaving correctly are for the posts that were created after I moved to this web host. The ones that are not behaving right are for the posts that were imported from the old host.
I remember that one of the very first things I did on this new host was to go to Media Settings and uncheck “Crop thumbnails”. But that didn’t have any effect on the output of display-posts until I started creating new posts.
