I’ve done a lot of searching on this topic as well as read the sticky thread on the issue.

My client is seeing inconsistent behavior when using Publicize>Facebook, in that sometimes it (Facebook) uses the featured image, and sometimes it defaults to the header image.

I’ve confirm that my client’s steps are identical for each post.

I’ve looked at the source code for both posts that did work, and those that did not but see no open graph tags inserted at all.

I’ve run the post through Facebook’s debugger and it reported that those properties were being “inferred” and not set explicitly.

Its a custom theme, and to my knowledge there is no other plugin installed that “manage” open graph tags. Even if there was, I should see *some* tags in my source but there are none.

I answered my own question. Client had All In One SEO Pack which apparently conflicts and causes Jetpack to not load the OG tags.

I disabled the plugin and the OG tags show.

Any way to use both? As my original post stated, the All In One SEO Pack wasn’t inserting any OG tags so I’m wondering why Jetpack disables this feature?

I found this thread, is that still the recommended approach?

Lastly, a current list of plugins that disable OG tags within Jetpack would be a good addition to the sticky thread on the topic.

    Hi!

All In One SEO Pack CAN insert OG tags if you configure it to do so, which is why we deactivate Jetpack’s tags. You can use the following plugin to force Jetpack to output it’s og tags no matter what:

Just make sure you don’t configure All in One to output it’s tags too, as duplicate tags are a big no-no for Facebook.

As for your suggestion, that’s a good one, thanks! I’ll see about adding the current list to the sticky.
