Widgets not secured?

All of the site’s widgets should only be visible to logged-in members. However, if you secure a page by setting access restrictions, the widgets still display.

Am I missing something? How does one restrict widget access?

I suppose I could create a child theme, then hack the sidebar.php file to wrap the entire thing in your require membership function. Better yet would be to add an admin function to set restrictions per widget, like that of pages and posts.
