Thank you for your feedback. We are working on user permissions for various roles within a league (players, staff, team manager, and league managers). We will definitely consider linking the user profiles with player profiles as well 🙂

We have a long list of features that we’d like to add and hope to get most of them in by version 1.0. No solid date yet but we’re aiming for later this month.

With the current version, you can select a user to assign player profiles to, so that user can access their own profile. Linking the WordPress/BuddyPress profile with the actual player is a feature that we are considering for a future update.
