    Hi there
I just installed your newest plugin version and I was surprised to find out that this new version is not compatible with the event organiser plugin any longer (https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-organiser/). So what happened is, I did not lose my event organiser events, but I lost all the links to the event organiser event entries. The only thing that worked to recover these events was, restore from backup.
I think this SportsPress plugin is a great thing to have, but only if it keeps on being compatible with other event plugins like the event organiser, which I already had installed. The previous version of your plugin was compatible, will there be adjustments made for this in future? Or if not, what are my Options? (As an aside: I have lots of entries in the event organiser plugin, so deactivating it is not an option for me.)
    A reply is much appreciated.

    Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback and ongoing help.

Regarding compatibility with Event Organiser, it sounds like a permalinks overlap.

Event Organiser uses the slug “event” and SportsPress events use the slug “events” which is overriding the former.

To solve this, please go to Settings > Permalinks and scroll down to the “SportsPress” section. Here, you can enter custom slugs to change the defaults.

Enter a different slug for “events”, for example “matches”, “games”, or “veranstaltung”.

This should enable both types of events from Event Organiser and SportsPress to display properly.

Thank you so much for your suggestion.
This seems to have solved my compatibility issue with another event plugin. I basically renamed all of the SportsPress permalinks to distinguish them from other event plugins with an additional “sp-” infront of the permalink topic, for example “sp-events” or “sp-venues”, etc. After accomplishing this, I installed the next version of your SportsPress plugin again. All of the links to all the various events work perfectly well now.
Great and thanks again for your help.

    Glad to hear that 🙂
