xml_rpc-32700 Error when activating Jetpack

Hi.
I get xml_rpc-32700 error when I try to connect to wordpress from my dashboard after installing jetpack.
I looked up the following guide http://usefulmix.com/wordpress-nginx-varnish-jetpack-xml_rpc-32700-glitch-fix/ and as much as I’ve tried to figure out what it means, I don’t have the slightest clue of where to begin.
I run windows on my computer and my wordpress is on a linux hosting (free2host.co.uk).
The guide describes steps that have things to do with linux interface which I have no idea how to use at all, can anyone please tell me what to download to do these changes or if there is any other way to fix xml_rpc-32700 error? Thanks.
