Question regarding switching payment processors…

    I was wondering what happens with existing memberships processed under one provider if I switch providers. I plan on switching from my own merchant gateway (Auth Net) to Stripe. I don’t want to risk any adverse affects with existing memberships though.

    Please let me know as it clearly cannot try to rebill under the new provider but I hope that it will continue to bill under the older one.

    Hi Fremeshifter,

    If you switch payment gateways, all existing members will remain on Auth Net until they complete the checkout process again (i.e. renew their membership) and all new members will now be billed through Stripe.

    You want to be sure that you still keep your Auth Net details intact for the existing users until their subscription runs out.
