Sorry, my English is very poor.

    How does it work “calendars”?
I’ve created events and when I add Calendars I can’t select them.

    Can I add player statistic named “rate” with decimal value? (…3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, etc…)

In Player page I would have automatic statistics like totals goals, total yellow cards, average rating. Is it possibile?

Mmmmh, perhaps too many requests but your plugin is great and I would use it as soon as possible 🙂

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your question!

Regarding calendars, I’m working on a new post type now and a filter that will allow calendars to be displayed in standard calendar widgets. This will be included in the next update.

Player statistics can be added via Settings > SportsPress > Players > Edit Statistics. The values can be any numeric value, so a decimal should work.

The player profile will currently display the total number rather than an average. I’ll include a dropdown to choose between “total” and “average” in the next version.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I’ll be releasing the update shortly.

Please feel free to let me know if you notice anything else 🙂

    Hi there,

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve added the features you suggested and updated SportsPress to version 0.2.1.

    * A new widget called “Events Calendar” has been added. This widget looks the same as the default Calendar, but instead of posts it contains events. To add an Events Calendar to your site, please go to Appearance > Widgets and drag “Events Calendar” to your sidebar.

    * Sum/Average player statistics have been added. When editing a player statistic, you can now select to calculate it as a Sum or as an Average. This also supports decimal values.

Future plans: I plan to add a “Precision” settings to the averages calculator, so that the calculation is rounded to the designated place, for example 2/3 = 0.67.

Thanks again for your feedback and please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions, comments, or suggestions 🙂

    Thanks,
I’m testing the new features but I have some doubts:

    – I do not understand how player statistics work, I’ve an average statistic named voto (rate) but how can I display this field?

    – In “edit player” page, are Appearances (metric) and the table of statistic below autofill fields?

    Maybe I need simple documentation

    Hi there,

The player statistics are displayed on Player pages. If you’ve created a player already, click “View Player” from the dashboard and that player’s statistics will be displayed for each league and team involved. However, if no leagues or teams have been created, statistics will not be displayed. We recommend using Player Metrics instead.

The player metrics are general details about a player that are displayed on every player page regardless of involvement in leagues or teams. For an example, see this page:

    http://soccer.leaguetower.com/players/ben-white/

Height and Weight are “metrics” so they are displayed in the Details section.
Played, Goals, Assists, Yellows Cards, and Red Cards are “statistics” so they are displayed in the league sections below.

I hope this helps! We’re working on documentation and will be posting it here when it is ready 🙂

    Two Questions:

1.) Is there currently any way to add a full-page calendar to a page? I see how to do the sidebar widget, but was trying to display a full page of events (preferably in calendar format) on a page. I would imagine it would involve creating a different template type that filters for your new event post type, but just wanted to know if this was something you were considering building.

2.) Is there a way to filter the event calendar sidebar widget to only a specific league or team. I’m creating a site for a high school with Varsity, JV, Freshman teams. I’ve separated them by using the league attribute, but noticed that the event calendar widget doesn’t allow you to filter based on team or league. Was hoping to create a page for each team within the site and show just their event calendars in the sidebars of their respective pages.

BTW – Great work on this plugin. It’s easy to use and fairly feature-rich as it stands. Looking forward to the finished result. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Thanks for your questions! I’ve addressed them in the other thread 🙂
