I’m using CPT UI and so far it’s excellent.

Can anyone point me to a way to customize the dashboard appearance of custom posts?

I need them to appear in a drop-down or something, because my site design requires about sixty different custom post types, and having all of them appear on the left panel would make it unwieldy.

I can live with it, but I’d rather not. Especially if I can code up my own solution without having to uninstall this plugin.

While I can understand the scope of the issue you’re facing, especially with that volume of CPTs, it’s definitely one that isn’t solvable with our plugin. Our UI stops after setting up the arguments for the registration of the CPTs/Taxonomies.

I can definitely let the thread remain though, in case someone has some good ideas for you, however, it’s not going to be an easy task as far as I can tell.

Hmm. Well, if CPT UI is a “set me up and get out of the way” kind of thing, then I guess I can find a way to get it done.

I’d appreciate any pointers folks might have as to how to get started with the customizing the WP dashboard. (If that’s possible at all?)

    Thanks for the reply!
