SetExpressCheckout API call failed.
Detailed Error Message: Security header is not valid
Short Error Message:
Error Severity Code: Error

Getting this error message when clicking the book via paypal button on Pro Extended. I’ve put in API credentials. Do you have any idea how I can fix this?

I’m getting a similar error in the regular version of the software. What do I need to configure to fix the following error:

SetExpressCheckout API call failed.
Detailed Error Message: You do not have permissions to make this API call
Short Error Message:
Error Severity Code: Error

You make sure the credentials are right for Live or Sandbox.

I’m getting exactly the same error as Bryn Moorhouse on the free version. Any ideas what the issue is?

The error appear if API credentials aren’t correct or if Sandbox credentials are used in live API or vice versa.
