I have enjoyed this plugin and so have clients. HOWEVER, I absolutely HATE having to UN-style the Upcoming Events display. I’ve seen the widget (now shortcode) used many times. Never have I seen it used with the styling that it come packaged with. #1) because the blue bubble look is hideous #2) most folks want it styled to fit within the look of their site.
If that widget is going to come pre-styled, it should be made very easy to override and it simply is NOT. It would be soooo much better if it were clean of the heavy handed styling and just had simple type styles that could be overridden so we could style rather than unstyle it.
All of the inline <style> and category stuff requires totally unnecessary work.
