• Hi,

I still have a very slow site and am not sure why. If I try to run a slideshow, I get this sort of message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4715687 bytes) in /home/ausw7332/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/wppa-functions.php on line 512

    (Happened specifically on Galleries>Australia>Birds)

Any ideas of what to do please? The site http://www.auswildlife.com

The main images are 1000px on the longest dimension. Is this too large?

    Many thanks, Bruce

The size of the photos are rather big, but that only slows down the download to the visitor and can not be the cause of the error.

The album is rather big ( over 500 photos ), therefor my recommendation is to paginate both thumbnail views as slideshows. This will most likely solve the memory issue.

Table I-C7 and I-B5. Suggested values: 50. This will speed-up the pages for the visitor substantially.

Hi, thanks very much for that. The only thing I can’t find though, is I-B5 . My table goes from I-B4 to B7.

    cheers, Bruce

I meant: Table I-B8: Slideshow pagesize. Introduced in version 5.0.15, while you are still on 5.0.9
