It should work for viewing individual photos and sets of photos. For viewing albums there may need to be some custom javascript added. Can you let me know specifically which version of lightbox you are using? (lightbox has become such a generic term, I want to make sure i know which version you mean).
I may actually remove the option to use other viewers. As the javascript has been getting more intricate with each new version of Shashin, it’s hard to keep it open for use with any viewer.
Thanks for answering me Mike. I’m using this lightbox 2 plugin wordpress.org/plugins/wp-jquery-lightbox/
I’ve been working on Shashin this weekened, and I’ve decided to remove support for other viewers in the upcoming version. The main feature of the new version is making Shashin responsive for mobile devices, which involves more custom coding to get prettyPhoto to work nicely in a mobile environment. It’s another aspect that won’t work generically for other viewers.
Having said that, I may add Lightbox 2 as a built-in viewer in a subsequent version. The current version of Fancybox is not GPL compatible (which means it’s not allowed in the wordpress plugin repository), so the version in Shashin is pretty old now. So I’ll probably remove Fancybox and replace it with Lightbox 2 (but not in the version that’s about to come out – after that)
Mike,
thanks for the update. I too would love to see LightBox 2 incorporated with Shashin!
I’m sure I’m not along in saying that I appreciate the updates you provide to this plugin. I am still evaluating your plugin, but compared to some of the other ones that I have paid for “pro” versions this blows them out of the water. Keep up the great work.
