    Since Photon images are already compressed, cached, and served via the WordPress.com servers, you don’t have to worry about performance for these images.

    You could choose to upload smaller images to get even smaller cached images, but that would also affect the quality of these images.

    But Google says it can be compressed more with no loss,so it would helpwith mobile data.
