Blank pop up box

I am using the plug in and have created a new pop up. everything works as i want it, except the pop up is just a white box with [contact-form] in it

i have made a custom contact form with an email field for this popup using the “add contact form” button. When i do this it places this codein my text box:
[contact-form][contact-field label='Your E-mail' type='email' required='1'/][contact-field label='Favorite Quote?' type='text'/][contact-field label='Favorite Book?' type='text'/][/contact-form]

but that code doesnt convert to a contact form it just remains code.

any help is appreciated
