    Hello everyone,

I’m not sure what is going on here… but it appears WP is not properly creating the .zip “package” that gets downloaded and installed when a user updates the plugin.

For now, in order to get the files properly (credit to @ronbme), just go to THIS link, and click the (svn) link next to the version you would like to download.

Here is the fix from @ronbme:

It’s just a mistake in the naming of the update. I already sent Josh a message.

If you need to get the update now, follow these steps:

    1. Click on “Developers” from the main page.
    2. Look for “Other versions”
    3. Click on “Development version (svn)”

That will be Ultimate TinyMCE version 4.8, the latest version.

Install it to your wp-content/plugins directory of your site. It will overwrite your Ultimate TinyMCE installation with the latest version. Answer “yes” if it asks if you want to overwrite.

Or you can wait until this evening and Josh will probably have the download working here.

This should work for now… until I find out what is going on with the packaging process.

I’ll report back as soon as I know it’s working properly.

    Sorry for the inconveniences!

Okay, we should be good to go now.

If there are still any problems, let me know. But, I have confirmed the update is now downloading properly from WP.

    Thank you, OTTO!!!!!!

Yes, I have upgraded to version 4.8.1 and can verify that everything works again.

That’s a strange error. I’ve seen other plugins that had a lot more revisions than this one and I didn’t see a problem.

All’s well that ends well, as they say.

    Thanks Josh.

    Haha… agreed!

Yeah, Otto was pretty blown away by the amount of older version I had kept. Also, this plugin is not exactly “lightweight”… lol.

So, he suggested I was really “stressing” out the build process by keeping all these older versions.

As soon as I removed them… and “re-built”; it was smooth sailing.

Thanks for being there to help!!!
