Facebook Connect?

    Is Facebook connect built into this plug in? I like having people be able to log into their Facebook account if they’d like in order to make a comment via WordPress. (Not Facebook comments.) I’m using Simple Facebook Connect for that now, but would like to stop using that plug in if I can allow this without the plug in.

    Login and register and WP comments are not supported by this new plugin yet. Perhaps in the future. The plugin does have the Facebook Comments box, but not the SFC style comment system.

    However, I would indeed recommend switching from SFC to the official one, as soon as this new one has the features you want.

    Thanks for the reply. Quick question, can I use this for everything that it has to offer, and enable your plugin for the facebook login option that I’m using now?

    Nope, SFC and this plugin will *definitely* conflict with one another. Pick one or the other, not both.

    I know this is off topic, but is there a way to use the Facebook login without using a plug in?

    You could implement it yourself using Facebook Platform.

    @matt,

    Thanks. Can you give me a starting point on how to get it to show up the way Otto’s plug in had it show up (right by the wordpress comment section?)

    I’m not quite sure how to get it to do that.

    By the way, thanks for the links you provided, but I think to comment with Facebook you don’t need to register, but just log in, am I correct?

    I think this is how Otto had it working on his plug in.

    Is there another link that talks about just logging in?
