If your server doesn’t have curl or a complete PHP 5 install, it might not support the code in the Facebook libraries. What hosting service are you using?

Thank you for the speedy response!
We have our site hosted on our own server…I generally have to go through the IT department to get any server-side things done (such as when I had to install PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin). I don’t know if this information would be useful to you or not. How can I figure out what is missing so I can relay this to the IT department?

Edit: Forget what I said earlier about curl. I’m looking into it.

Edit 2: Yeah, it’s mostly lack of curl. Despite some code to attempt to work without curl, it just doesn’t appear to work right without it. This will most likely be fixed in a future version.

Also, if you have any other Facebook-related plugins, deactivate them first. Multiple Facebook plugins will almost always conflict with each other.
