Which pingservers are you pinging? Is Ping-o-matic not enough?
That is major overkill. Do you realize that most ping services ban IPs that send more than one consecutive pings in a period of a few seconds? That is probably the cause of the timeouts that you are seeing. Just use http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ . You can see a list of all the services that pingomatic pings here.

These are slightly different questions, this question is an extension of the first. I’m not sure what problem is nor why I’d get banned for asking a few questions. Let me know. I’m not aware of any particular etiquette for this specific site. Haven’t meant to offend anyone. The url of my sites does not matter. I have wordpress on about 10 sites all doing slightly different things. Some sites have no plugins, others have a few, others have even more. The sites without plugins get timed out all the time just like the sites with a lot of plugins and an expanded ping server list.
Nobody suggested you’ll be banned from here “for asking a few questions”. And I don’t think you’ve offended anybody on this site 🙂
What they were trying to tell you (as a friendly warning) that you’ll be banned from/by the pinging services if you send more than one consecutive pings in a period of a few seconds. By using multiple services (that ping other services) you have a chance to send more than one ping…
that’s my read on this thread, too, uno. I just ping the one and all is copacetic.

Ah, sorry. I’ve weeded out whatever duplicate ping addresses I’ve had that are in the multi ping ones such as ping-o-matic
