• I would like to use the widgets in Jetpack, especially the Image Widget.

But I am using an advanced theme that ads styling to the titles of the widgets. It works with no problem for all the native WordPress widgets but I have problems with the Image Widget.

The title looks like this: <span>title>span> and the styling is wrong. The developer wrote this to me:

“Unfortunately this is a result of those particular plugin authors not applying the widget_title filter to their widgets. This causes those widget titles to be missing an additional wrap that we add to allow for further styling of those headings. That’s the reason why all of the built-in WordPress widgets work…they obviously properly apply the widget_title filter :)”

Can you do something about it?

The Twitter Widget looks just as bad and the <span> code is visible in the title.

I’ve added this to our development list. No ETA on when we’ll have a fix for it, though. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
