From what you’ve said, I’m not sure I follow if the error is only occurring on the production website or the test website too.
Before doing anything, deactivate and then activate the plugin. The cache folder can be chosen, and it’s in the plugin settings.
If you’re getting ‘Account Problem’, then that suggests an issue with your account on STW. Please follow all of the steps/checks in the FAQ: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-portfolio/faq/ – that helps 99% of people.

I think I found the problem. The shortcode was wrapped in some html tags probably copied from your examples. When I removed these, everything works fine. I give the plugin 5 stars!
Hi Dan,
I am havin the same issue as above. I followed the guides on STW but I keep havin the account problem issue. When I refresh the page it works.. but after a while the same problem is back again…
@phoentje – please raise the issue as a fresh thread (and this one is marked as resolved), as this particular issue was due to user error. Please list what the symptoms are, what you’ve tried, and what guides you followed.

Dan
I still have the Account Problem message. It is probably caused by cashing a SkrinkTheWeb javascript. See fix at ShrinkTheWeb. Can this be included in the plugin?
This change is already in V1.26 of WP Portfolio
