It’s not a real solution. Why should we all edit Jetpack plugin instead of having it complete from Automattic? It looks like a personal vendetta with Google (competition on blogging market) and it hurt all people using WordPress blogs.
Well instead of trying to patch things into a plugin that should already include it. I disabled the sharing in jetpack and used a plug in called Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share
I don’t think it’s a vendetta against Google, since the Google+ button is already included in Jetpack on WordPress.com blogs. More likely it hasn’t been a high priority for anyone at Automattic. See the screenshot from my WordPress.com test account:
