Smooth Slider Captions?

    How does one go about displaying image captions in smooth slider? It appears they are not visible by default and they are not mentioned in the settings. I added <caption> to the list of HTML tags to retain but still nothing appears. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be most helpful.
