    Jaycee,

(Are you the same person I just helped by email? If so, no worries, I’ll copy stuff here for prosperity.)

That error sounds like it is trying to going to an HTTPS/SSL-enabled version of the page, which your host isn’t setup to handle. That’s okay if you are trying to do a free membership on your site. The recent 1.1.12 and 1.1.13 updates will support free memberships without requiring SSL.

    What you should check:

    1. That you have the latest version of the plugin.

    2. Delete any “besecure” custom field on your Membership-Checkout page. (This isn’t required after version 1.1.12, and it actually breaks things if it is still there)

    3. Make sure that the membership you are checking out for doesn’t require payment. Even if you are charging $0, make sure you didn’t check the recurring billing or trial period checkboxes when setting up the level.

That should do it. Let me know how it goes.

And thanks. This helped us locate a bug that future versions will handle.

    Regards,

    Jason Coleman
