• We have been using the plugin for quite some years, and had gain enough experience to say it is a truly helpful plugin for those who want to have control over the sequence of their posts in categories. Fully satisfied.

I’d just have a proposal to make it even better:

WordPress organizes tagged posts by their publishing dates for the specific tags. So, if you want to arrange your posts under the same tag in custom order, you have to change the publishing dates of posts one by one—a wearisome job when you have many posts in the same tag. Though you can drag and drop the posts in a custom order in WordPress / tags menu, bu it has no effect whatsoever because WordPress has the final word to say here. It would be really nice if the plugin would take this job off our shoulders.

Thank you for sticking with the plugin for so many years, and for the detailed suggestion!

A quick tip that may save you the date-editing: when **Posts** is enabled under Settings → SCPOrder, the order you set by dragging on the Posts screen also applies on tag and category archives. You shouldn’t need to change publishing dates to control it. (Dragging on the *Tags* screen orders the tags themselves, e.g. in tag lists, not the posts inside a tag.)

The limitation is that it’s one order for all posts, so a post can’t be first under one tag and last under another. A separate order per tag is a fair request, and I’ve noted it. If a tag archive on your site still comes out by date with Posts enabled, your theme is probably asking for date order explicitly. Open a support topic and I’ll help you check.
