    Hi,

Been using plugin for years. Great thanks to you.

    Issue:

    Shortcode using form hash-ID – eg: [contact-form-7 id=”c0ca0f2″ title=”test 1″] – renders empty form (except hidden meta-fields) & produces REST error eg: http://mysite.co.uk/wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/NaN/feedback/schema – 404

whereas, if I use the form Post-ID in the shortcode id parameter – eg: [contact-form-7 id=”1096″ title=”test 1″] – it works fine.

Using latest version WP, contact form 7 plugin, theme etc, php 8.3 (also older 8.1) , 2 different (though similar) sites – tried disabling all plugins & changing theme, re-saving permalinks, also same for previous versions of plugin – no effect. Inspected code – only suspect is regexp in includes/restapi.php register_rest_rout /(?P<id>\d+) – & similar. (Also looked in post_meta table – can see _hash entries in there fine).

Strangely, it worked for a while using hash-id, then just stopped working – no explicable reason – nothing else changed so far as am aware.

Can you think what this might be caused by?

    Many thanks

Where can we see the website in question?

    Hi Takayuki,

Thanks for getting back. Sorry I didn’t spot your reply sooner. Do you have somewhere I could send a Direct Message to you? (I don”t like posting dev domain details on public forum). Thanks.

with respect, that’s not helpful. i think my original description of the issue should be enough to answer the question posed – vis: shortcodes are working with id=post-id but not with id=hash-id – have you any idea what might be causing this? thanks.

PS. this has been an issue on all sites where we use CF7 for over a year – so its not isolated & should be easily reproducible.
