• Hi,

Following on from this post – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/apple-pay-error-6/#post-19022562 – I am experiencing an issue when placing an order using ApplePay after updating to version 10.9.1.

After double-clicking to confirm the payment, a spinner is shown for a few seconds, before showing a validation error – “There was a problem with provided shipping address: is required”

I’ve tried with regular delivery and with the collect option, and i’ve tried with and without shipping details being filled in in the checkout form.

I’ve had to disable ApplePay until this has been resolved, and the client is understandably unhappy.

    Hi @hushdigital!

Thanks for providing the details and for letting us know what you’ve already tried. I understand that the issue started after updating to WooCommerce Stripe Gateway 10.9.1, and that you’ve had to disable Apple Pay because customers are unable to complete their orders due to the shipping address validation error.

To assist you further, could you please provide the following?

    1. WooCommerce System Status Report
Go to WooCommerce → Status → Get system report → Copy for support, then paste the report into Pastebin. Please enable the Burn after read option and share the generated link with us.
    2. WooCommerce error logs
Please go to WooCommerce → Status → Logs and check the available logs around the time the Apple Pay error occurs. If you find any relevant errors generated when the issue occurs, please share those logs with us.
    3. If possible, please create a staging site that mirrors your current setup and share the staging site URL with us. Please enable Stripe test mode and Apple Pay on the staging site so we can investigate the issue without affecting your live store. You can follow our documentation for setting up Stripe test mode and testing the customer experience here:
      Stripe Customer Experience Testing

When sharing screenshots, logs, or staging-site information, please make sure to blur or remove any sensitive information before posting it.

Once we have the System Status Report, relevant error logs, and staging site URL, we’ll be able to investigate this further.

I would like to add to this, rather than starting a new post on the same topic.

Updating from 10.8.5 to 11.0.0. All wallet methods show ‘Update shipping address’ and there’s no way to proceed. We’re using blocks checkout.

This has caused us to loose out on wallet sales for 4 days until a customer allerted us of the issue. Why are changes being made to a payment extension without being properly tested? Looking at the support tab there’s multiple customers been affected by this (and probably many more that don’t even realise there’s an issue with their checkout).

    Hi @tomtbdev!

Thanks for adding these details and for bringing the issue to our attention. We understand your concern, especially given the impact this has had on wallet payments.

However, as outlined in the WordPress.org support forum guidelines, we recommend creating a new support thread so we can investigate your specific setup and issue separately.

You can create a new thread here:

    WooCommerce Support Forum

Please include as much information as possible, including your WooCommerce and Stripe Gateway versions, details about your Blocks Checkout setup, and any relevant screenshots or errors.

    Thanks for understanding!
