This is just a general question about WP RSS Aggregator – I tried to ask your bot on the website, but…

Hey, I’m Buzz πŸ‘‹: Monthly message limit reached. Please contact the bot owner as they may need to upgrade their plan to continue providing this service.

So I’ll ask my question here:

On the free version of WP RSS Aggregator, is there a limit to how many Sources can be added?

    Thank you!

    DJ

    Hi @varsitysports

No, there is no limit. The free version of WP RSS Aggregator does not cap how many sources you can add, and neither do the premium plans. There is nothing in the plugin that counts your sources or stops you after reaching a certain number.

The practical limit would be your server rather than the plugin itself. Every source that is due for an update gets fetched during the same background run, one after another. So, the more sources you have, the longer each import cycle can take.

Two things can help as the number of sources grows. First, set different update intervals for your sources so they are not all due at the same time, since each source has its own update schedule. Second, if you are planning to add a large number of sources, I would recommend switching from WP-Cron to a real server-side cron job. WP-Cron only runs when someone visits the site, which can make longer import runs less reliable.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions πŸ™‚

You’re most welcome @varsitysports ! Glad that cleared it up. If anything comes up once you start adding sources, just open a new topic here and we’ll take a look.

And if you have a minute, a quick review would mean a lot to us πŸ™‚

    Have a great day!
