“Flat Rate calculated per shipping class” not working

I have noticed this is still not working. It is still charging one delivery fee regardless of whether more than one item is purchased. It should charge per item purchased.

I have large items and if someone purchases more than one, each item, the delivery cost should be added for each item as per the flat rate shipping cost I entered for it’s shipping class.

I have “Flat rate calculated per shipping class” selected

Embarrassingly, it was due to laziness.

Some of my products are a similar size a weight, so I used the same shipping class rather than make a new one for every single product type. This resulted in only one shipping fee if someone happened to put two different products with same shipping class in their basket.

This is what led me to understand that no matter what quantity of products were added, if they are the same shipping class, shipping will only be charged once for that class.

No worries at all! Thanks for explaining what was happening.

Yes, that explains why the shipping charge was only being applied once when different products shared the same shipping class. I’m glad the new setup looks like it will solve the issue for you.
