MonsterInsights 11.1.2 causing Gutenberg Synced Pattern / Reusable Pattern error
-
Hi MonsterInsights Support,
I would like to report what appears to be a compatibility issue with MonsterInsights 11.1.2 and the WordPress Gutenberg editor.
Recently, when I insert a Synced Pattern / reusable pattern into a post, the pattern fails to render and WordPress displays:
“This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”
If I then try to detach/ungroup the pattern so that I can edit it independently, the entire pattern content disappears from the editor.
I checked the browser console and found the following JavaScript error:
TypeError: ((intermediate value) ?? "").replace is not a functionThe stack trace points to:
editor.js?ver=11.1.2:7172:60I then temporarily deactivated MonsterInsights while leaving GreenShift and the other plugins enabled. After deactivating MonsterInsights:
- Synced Patterns can be inserted normally
- The patterns preview correctly
- Detaching/ungrouping them works normally
- The error no longer occurs
Reactivating MonsterInsights causes the problem to return.
I also have another WordPress website using the same GreenShift plugin where I have not encountered this issue, so this appears to be related specifically to MonsterInsights’ Gutenberg editor integration rather than the pattern itself.
My environment includes:
- WordPress: 7.0.4
- MonsterInsights: 11.1.2
- GreenShift blocks / reusable patterns
- Gutenberg block editor
I have temporarily disabled MonsterInsights, which resolves the issue, but I would prefer to re-enable it once the compatibility problem has been fixed.
Could you please investigate this issue, particularly the code in
editor.jsaround the.replace()error above?Thanks.
