Thanks for reaching out @kat123. Good question regarding elminiating your own site visits. By default Site Kit doesn’t include your own site visits for Google Analytics metrics, assuming you’re logging into your site. By default all logged in users are not counted. This configuration can be changed if users wish, by visiting their Analytics settings within Site Kit (Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > Analytics > Edit > Exclude Analytics > All logged-in users).
Let me know if you have any questions with the above, or if you were asking about something else. Note for if your site visit was already recording, such information cannot be modified. The information is pulled from Google Analytics and other connected Google services via the available APIs in order to display within the Site Kit dashboard. Thank you.

James – thanks so much. I’ll take a look at the Settings. So, it sounds like if I want to look at something on the site I should login first and view it from the dashboard. That’s simple enough. Thanks again.
No problem, happy to help. And indeed you can login to your site first, via wp-admin, and then via your site from there.
Note that what you may wish to do, which is independent of any Site Kit setting, is to apply a filter so that any visits from your own IP address are not counted in Analytics. The below guide has information on how to do so:
