    Hi there,

We encountered a random problem on our site. Some of the block translations changed back to individual strings and hence disappeared.

    • as you can see in the screencast video, I cannot translate an “entire block element”,
    • it seems, though, it saves the translation, but
    • as soon as we reload the page it splits back to individual strings.
    • I left only one line untranslated (as a block element that you see in the video) because this page cannot remain partially translated, but it’s quite cumbersome to translate these blocks as strings again because it was just fine previously.

Additional info: I tested this in Troubleshooting mode, with Elementor +PRO, Cartflows (this is a funnel page), and TP activated (only), server and browser cache deleted; I even ran the TP Optimize TranslatePress database tables.

Again, it was working previously and is working in the other section of the same page (see screenshot). I can’t tell if it’s maybe an Elementor widget problem, or sth. else; basically, anything that has extra formatting (e.g., <strong>) cannot be translated as a block.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Gabe

    Sorry guys…

    • Update: After more than two hours of troubleshooting, I think I found the culprit.
    • There is a table inside an HTML widget on the page. Someone edited one of the values and wrote <5 mg instead of &lt;5 mg. That invalid HTML seems to have broken the TranslatePress parser, causing the FAQ (and other content) to stop being translated properly.
    • Looks like this was entirely our fault rather than a TranslatePress issue. Sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase!

    Kind rgds
