Newsletter Subscriptions Enabled

    In the most recent update of Jetpack (15.9 – 2026-06-09), the following change was included as an enhancement: “Newsletter: Enable the subscriptions module by default”. It activated the newsletter that I had deactivated 7 years ago, and caused confusion to some of my users. I re-deactivated the newsletter, but please can you reverse this change so that others don’t have the same problem?

    I came to report this exact issue. The last Jetpack update injected two subscription checks in my comments section between the comments text area and the Name/Email fields. Why?!
