• Hello –

Submitting a request that you change your plugin’s settings for the recipient email. It should not default to the Administrator email, but the “woocommerce_email_from_address” since there are agencies that manage applications for their client’s and are listed as the administrator on the site – whereas the client who runs the their shop should be the recipient of those emails.

I understand you want to offer “pro” features, but to lock people out of changing this simple setting – especially when it is defaulting to the wrong person, is a strange choice to me. I would understand more if the “pro” feature was to add multiple recipients – that makes more sense.

Please consider this change in a future update.

    Thank you.

    Hi @viablethought

    Thank you for contacting us.

The plugin allows you to manage messages sent from the shop. Under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails, you will find six types of emails that the plugin sends. Go to the one you want, and in the settings you will find a section where you can locate the CC and BCC fields, into which you can add the email addresses to which the plugin should send messages.

Will this option not be sufficient for you?

Unfortunately no, having a CC or BCC option does not suffice. For every client site we provide hosting to and manage, we are listed as the administrator in order to receive important emails in regard to the status of the website itself.

That said, there is no reason that we should receive any emails coming from the shop (i.e. new refund requests), these emails are irrelevant to us and should go to the shop owner, which is why I suggested that your plugin should default to the “woocommerce_email_from_address”, and not the admin.

I have already changed it on my end in your plugin so that we don’t get bombarded by emails from the shop when the project goes live this week.
