• Siteground have no right to add plugins to my sites, and certainly not without my consent, without any notification and without the ability to opt-out.

I am paying you to provide hosting, not so you can randomly deploy your own software onto my domains. I find it wholly unnacceptable that you’ve done this, and can’t believe that anyone internally signed this off as acceptable.

  • @leewillis77, I think the worst bit is that they claim in every copy-pasted they told people they were going to do this (I didn’t see that email – did you?) – as if that justifies dumping the plugin onto everyone’s site.

This shouldn’t even be something you’d have to opt-out of. It should be made available as an opt-in. “Here’s this tool we have so you can interact with WordPress’ new AI features more easily, and here’s where you get it”, not “we’re going to dump this on your website unless you tell us not to”.

Same here, claim to have told us, but never did (and even if they had it would have been unacceptable).

    Hello @leewillis77 and @offsetskate ,

We appreciate your feedback on the plugin rollout. Your preference for an opt-in model has been forwarded directly to our product development team.

    Best Regards,
