    Dear Konrad,

Since the Update to ACF PRO 6.8.1 (running ACFE(basic) 0.9.2.4), it is no longer possible to have a conditional logic working for any field (e.g. text field), triggered by an image field (has value) in the backend (e.g. Post edit view).

The dependent field, hidden by conditional logic, doesn’t show if an image has been set.
Only after saving the post, the field(s) appear(s).
Other fields (text field shows if text isset in another field) seem to work normally.

This happens in latest versions of Firefox, Chrome and seems not to be Browser related.
This happens in all my sites.
This is in every setup (even very simple ones with just 2 test fields like image field as trigger and text field to be shown in a post without gutenberg or page builders or anything or dynamic previews or things like that).

After disabling the ACFE plugin and only with ACF Pro enabled, it works again.
Switching back to even ACFE(basic) 0.9.1.1 doesn’t solve the problem.

So it seems that the problem is ACFE only in combination with the new ACF PRO Version 6.8.1.
ACFE(basic) 0.9.2.4 + the version before of ACF PRO (6.8.0.1) seems to work like expected.

For me, conditional logic and showing fields dependent on set images, is a very important logic everywhere, since image settings for headers or sizes, etc. pp., are set like that.

    thanx in advance

    Hello,

    Thanks for the detailed report!

I managed to reproduce the issue. This is tied to the recent ACF Pro 6.8.1 patch.

The latest ACF Extended update 0.9.2.5 has been just released and fix this issue. Please update your plugin.

    Thanks again for the report!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.

    Dear Konrad,

YEAH! Works like a charm!!!! Thanks for the very fast support in this matter.

Tried to tie it to something (js not firing, etc. pp.), but (even with a lot of “investigative” knowledge in css, js, php, …) couldn’t find anything.

So again, thank you and keep on doing your good work, because ACFE is for me a “don’t need a overcomplicated page builder bs anymore, because I have my own and better one” thing by the dynamic content preview and stuff like that and of course in combination with ACF PRO.

    So Resolved and thanx!!!!

    Hello,

I’m glad to hear it now works as expected!

Yeah this bug was a sneaky one, it wasn’t easy to find as it’s part of a recent rework of the field value definition by the ACF core team.

You absolutely get the mindset of ACF Extended: “Why using someone else page builder? Just make your own!”

    Enjoy!

    Regards.
